What is acceptance evidence for an AI project?

Acceptance evidence is the agreed set of realistic test cases, expected results, review findings, boundary checks, failures, owner decisions, and stop conditions used to decide whether work is accepted, revised, narrowed, or rejected.

What belongs in the buyer file

  • Choose normal, difficult, incomplete, and stop-or-escalate cases before the demonstration.
  • Name who can accept the business result and which separate approvals are required.
  • Record review effort and consequential failures, not only successful outputs.

Limits and exceptions

  • A single accuracy percentage can hide the test population, consequences, and review burden.
  • Passing a demonstration does not establish suitability for other workflows, records, people, or environments.
