What is a useful problem brief for an AI professional?

A useful problem brief describes one recurring workflow, its owner, trigger, source information, friction, review, official destination, and protected boundaries without prescribing a product or exposing sensitive records.

What belongs in the buyer file

  • Name the work and consequence before asking for an AI feature.
  • Use public, fictional, redacted, or approved examples during early evaluation.
  • State what must remain human-owned even if the workflow changes.

Limits and exceptions

  • A problem brief is a discovery aid, not a contract, technical design, or approval to access systems.
  • A clean description can still omit ordinary exceptions, informal work, and affected people.
